On a way to a smile…

不管未来你会在哪里,

我都不会忘记 我爱你,

你是我微笑的原因… … =)

I’LL NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

Time
I won’t ever give in
No matter how hard you pull me in
I know gravity ain’t an excuse
I just want to make things a little more smooth
Majority is still asleep
They’re tired of those dreadful dreams
Now let me shout and wake you up
Let me wake you up!!
When the sunset dyes the sky so bright
She freaks me out with the secret smile
Stars above start to shine for miles and miles
I wonder why
Is this a curse or just your heart
No other rhythm when those flowers flowin’
I know you can stop its flow on a whim
So I have learned to swim

Until the time is up
I can’t give up on you
Before the time is up
I leave all my regrets
Until this time is up
I’ll never give this up
Until the sun is up
I can’t give up on you

Before the time is up
I leave all my regrets
Until this time is up
I’ll never give this up!!!!

Deja Vu

Where did we meet before just like this
I know your smile
Your voice just like that
You talk to me and I smile right back
I don’t believe in fantasy

Same dress that now reminds me
Something I can’t forget
Same song same tone in your voice
Tell me this isn’t a dream

Take me forward, stars are still asleep
You and me, we live forevermore
I would follow you my destiny
Won’t you get my favorite photograph

I’m getting played by you
Deja vu

I saw the sparkles in your eyes
your soothing words make me feel light
I would be glad to stay in your sight
let’s fade into this mystery

same words if this is the first time
ask if i’m stuck in a loop?
i’m lost in this illusion
turn me into sensation

Take me forward, stars are still asleep
You and me, we live forevermore
I would follow you my destiny
Won’t you get my favorite photograph

I’m getting played by you
Deja vu

Some useful sharing

Here’s something i emailed to Fairchild Semiconductor Malaysia for some enquires about  working opportunities in Semiconductor industries recently:

The answers were provided by Mr Yip Heng Keong from Fairchild Semiconductor Malaysia:

Dear  Lik Shun.

I will try to answer your questions as precise  as possible.

1) Considering the current retrenchment rate and economic downturn, how (as in what way) will this condition affect intern intakes and also permanent employees hiring activities.

Ans:  Permanent employees hiring are put on hold at the moment pending changes in the business environment.  As for interns intake ,  we are not making changes as the cost incured is relatively low and it’s part of company’s social responsibility.

2)  I’ve heard countless stories from people telling me that many of the factories especially semicon industries are closing down or putting their manufacturing on hold. Some even ask their employees to take a long period of unpaid leave. What are the main driving forces or reason behind this?

Ans:  Like many other industry ( automotive, oil, construction etc),  semiconductor manufacturing goes thru a cyclical business environment (every  few years) and it’s affected by supply and demand.  Seminconductor has been around for > 35 years in Malaysia and remain the 3rd largest (after oil and palm oil) revenue earner for the country.  The actions taken by some of the companies is to mitigate the down turn so that they can evolve lean and more productive when the business returns.

3) What kind of employees are the semiconductor industries looking for to be part of the company? University Result? Communication skill? Leadership qualities etc.? Which of them are priority.

Ans:  As I’ve shared earlier,  semiconductor industry can absorbed multi discpline graduates as the manufacturing process is very complex.  The minimal requirement is an honour degree ( CGPA > 3.0) but most important of all it’s the willingness to learn and right attitude.  A strong ablility to communicate in english is an added advantage.

4) If I am a fresh graduate who wishes to work in the semicon industries in the recession period, what should I do to increase my chances of getting myself employed in this dire straits.
Ans:  Even during a downturn,  semiconductor company will still be hiring fresh graduate. This will give fresh graduate a longer and easier learn curve to acquire the skills.  The industry will not evaluate you on how much you know about the process.  Some common questions includes.
a)  Semiconductor general knowledge( company names,  product type (microprocessor,  flash memory e tc) and application ( with market segment).
b)  Study related topic includes material properties,  how is this data collected and why is the data ( modulus, Tg, CTE  etc) important to the semiconductor industry and it’s application.
c)  Soft skills, leadership quality, independant and the passion to learn new things and most important of all  CONFIDENCE.
d)  Do not try to oversell and say how much you know.  Good interviewer can see thru this very easily.

Hope this information will help.

Best Regards

Love Poem

To Ah Lian…

Your beautiful face no fight,

silky hair everybody like,

Your horse figure no horse run,

Big big eyes, small small mouth, cannot tahan,

One word, marry wife follow wife, marry cat follow cat,

You go there, I go there,

If you the moon, I the star beside you,

If you a flower, I the leaf of your flower.

If you the shit, I the fly.

When you are bathing, I’m the soap,

To sky mountain sea corner,

You are my womvan this lifetime.

From Ah Beng.

The Unsung Hero

My dad is suffering from some kind of intestine inflammation recently. Due to a stressful life ever since he took charge of a learning centre to educate children of Myanmar immigrants in my hometown. For those who didn’t know, children of these Myanmar immigrants are not allowed to enrol in government schools for education and private schools are simply unaffordable by them. So, a local christian church association decided to provide educational needs to these poor children instead, at the lowest fee possible of course. My dad was approached with the opportunity to contribute by teaching these children, which are very naughty and not very obedient at all. And so, a stressful life ensued; caning, scolding, yelling, you name it; and all these frustrations leads to health problems. Believe me, for people approaching the twilight of their life, a minor health problem can be unbearably discomforting. So now, my dad can only eat plain and light food. Yeah, that means no spicy, no oily, no sweet and sour rich food…. at all!!!

And who else other than family members and close friends will know about the frustrations and sacrifice of them educators? People always thought that they were the whims of these educators, they think they are the victims of angers vented against them.

Who are the real victims?

—————————————————————

My family is a standard average family with everyone living a normal life. We are not rich financially, but we are not poor in our hearts either. We have common principles an average person should have and simplicity is a bliss.

My brother is planning to get married soon. The lastest by next year. I had an opportunity of becoming an exchange student to a country of my choice, but i got restricted financially. Its a pity, yes. At least to me. Thats why i urge people who have the chance, whatever chance it is, grasp them if you can, and don’t ever let go. Because something simple to you, may be dear to someone else. I believe if i would’ve told them to let me go to overseas, they would allow me to, regardless of any sacrifices they have to make. But I don’t want to, because thats too much a sacrifice to make for one person, and I’d rather keep these fantasy to myself. An unrealized dream, but in turn, watching my brother realize his own dream is also a pleasure.

From afar, i wish them happiness and a blissful life ahead. Last but not least, I will pray for everyone’s health especially my father’s so long as the earth will revolve. Take care!

Winning or losing?

There is what I’ve learned recently.
If u win, whenever you win, whatever you win: you are the best. you can show off. you can insult your opponents lousy, idiot, retard, incapable, stupid, call ‘em whatever you wish… who cares? WHAT MATTERS MOST! freakin’ hell~!!!! ITS YOU WHO WON~
Whatever happened to sportsmanship? Respect you opponents? Kiss my @$$ as they would say… I won, and that means YOU SUCK~
Don’t get it? It means you’re a LOSER! L-O-S-E-R!!!!
yeah… it is so IMPORTANT to WIN these days, who cares about entertainment? Having fun? Ya learning anythin’ sucker? Bah, I’m not having fun if I’m not winning. If i don’t win, i cant insult people, i can’t prove that you are a loser. and tell ya what, THAT’s …FUN and ENTERTAINMENT.
So what do losers say?
I’m just here to play and enjoy. Winning doesn’t matter to me, I’m looking to have fun and exercise.

…………
WHAT? HE SAID THAT? what a loser… heck! I’m here to win.

oh…. and when you win, don’t play it again EVER~
that makes you a WINNER for LIFE~!!! Fantastic right?
Chicken out? bah, u can always say :"playing against him/her is a waste of time. I won last time around. Thats that."
you lose? WHATEVER YOU DODON’T ADMIT YOU LOST!!
START BLAMING~ whatever you can find to blame… FIRE ON ALL CYLINDERS!
"the ball is faulty, unlucky, stupid weather, my shoes are torn, i didn’t wear glasses…"
and finally, don’t forget to add this at the back:" OTHERWISE, YOU WILL LOSE TO ME!" It sounds MUCH better than "Otherwise, I will win you"
why? cause the 1st sentence indicates you’re a LOSER. cool right?
Don’t play a game where there are people who can win over you. Its not enjoyable at all… don’t forget, you HAVE to be the winner. Get it?

Yeah… what a great feeling to win… you wanna win? or u enjoy being a loser?
LOSER~!!!

他接着说:"behave like a human, don’t behave like a chinese!"

有一个lecturer, 常常骂人是failure! standard five!
给了他对的答案:“maximum frequency"
他说:“salah! the correct answer is ‘frequency tertinggi’ !!!"

有一个lecturer, test, assignment 的分数最多只给20%,
他说:“A for Tuhan, B for lecturer, C and below is for student"

有一个lecturer, 认为学生给的答案都是错的,
结果把学生给的答案换成ayat pasif/ ayat aktif 就是对的答案了。
例:wrong answer (student) : sound is produced by vibration of air particles.
right answer (Dr.XXXXX) : vibration of air particles produces sound.

有几个人,憎恨着这些lecturer而活在这个充满绝望的世界上… …

Do you have to remind me of what we’ve become?
Will you tell me what am I to you?
Cause I’m tired of being there for you but not being there for me.
If happiness for you is not happiness for me,
Then what will become of me?
I became everything you ask me to be.
You turned me into a loveless person.
I’ve forgotten the meaning of love.
Please tell me how to love myself again.
I’m not calling for a second chance.
I’m screaming at the top of my voice.
give me reason, but don’t give me choice,
cause I’ll just make the same mistake again.

Lost

I find the song and lyrics by Coldplay’s latest single "Lost?" very meaningful and nice~
here are the lyrics:

artist : COLDPLAY
song title : LOST

Just because I’m losing

Doesn’t mean I’m lost

Doesn’t mean I’ll stop

Doesn’t mean I will cross

Just because I’m hurting

Doesn’t mean I’m hurt

Doesn’t mean I didn’t get what I deserve

No better and no worse

I just got lost

Every river that I’ve tried to cross

And every door I ever tried was locked

Ooh-Oh, And I’m just waiting till the shine wears off…

You might be a big fish

In a little pond

Doesn’t mean you’ve won

‘Cause along may come

A bigger one

And you’ll be lost

Every river that you tried to cross

Every gun you ever held went off

Ooh-Oh, And I’m just waiting till the firing starts

Ooh-Oh, And I’m just waiting till the shine wears off

Ooh-Oh, And I’m just waiting till the shine wears off

Ooh-Oh, And I’m just waiting till the shine wears off…
