5.00AM in the morning… I woke up and heard some noises. I
wasn’t surprised, because I knew it was my room-mates Desmond from Sibu,
Sawarak and Jason from Tawau, Sabah packing up
their belongings. They were going home after a long, tough semester in USM
Engineering Campus. When they first saw
me in the morning… they smiled…. but we didn’t utter a single word to one
another. Maybe three of us know that we are going to part after being room-mates
after a year’s stay in USM. Can’t bear to part perhaps? Minutes later Jason
came over to my corner and see what I was doing…. i was playing games.. haha,
as usual… he loves to come over to my corner… especially to watch me play
games since i was so lazy most of the time, i play more than i study, maybe it
became a habit for him to come over to my side. Desmond? Well… he was busy
packing but he did ask me for scissors, plastic bags, knifes. He even ran out
of toothpaste :p

Oh… since there are 4 people staying in one room, what about
the other room-mate, Wee Kian? heck, he was sleeping like a pig…. Zzzz…..
he wouldn’t care anyway, since most of our time in USM, he doesn’t really hang
around with the rest of us often. (Psst! Yo! Wee Kian… don’t you wanna say
something before they leave???) "ZZZZZzzzzzzzz…….. " says Wee Kian :P 

6.00AM
They finally finished packing and looked all set as they
headed for the hostel cafe downstairs. I helped them with their luggage.
Desmond’s luggage was bigger than Jason’s but hell, Jason’s luggage was much
heavier than Desmonds. Can’t judge the weight of the luggage by its size??..
LOL. Well, we waited together at the cafe for the taxi to arrive. Jason had a
sore throat, he didn’t really wanna speak much. Desmond and I joked a bit. Crap,
Desmond was so eager to go back to Sibu so that he can win his dream girl’s
heart. That lucky girl’s name is Jane. Hmm, all the best Desmond. Besides, I
hired him as my love-affairs consultant since he is so experinced in it. Not
long after that the taxi finally came and its time to say good-bye. shaked
their hands and told them to take care and all the best for the future. All of
us are wondering who will be our room-mates for next semester. Hopefully
someone nice and friendly.

That’s its then, Desmond just told me "See you next
sem!" and Jason said "take care!". Desmond was so excited that
he even told the taxi driver he is delighted to see him because it means that
he can go home. Then, there they go. The Taxi accelerate off and out of my
sight. Bye-bye Desmond! Sayonara Jason!(Jason took Japanese this semester and
he’s quite talented ) Nice knowing you two!

After that, I walked back to my room on the 2nd floor. hmm,
mixed emotions… thoughts of the laughters, sadness, and joy we shared
together rushed to my mind. We had lunch and dinner together…studied
together, played Dota, Worms 3D , table-tennis, jogging, together, cursed the
lecturers together, scolded the Malays at at their back together, watched
Champions League at 3.15AM together even though there’s lecture the next
morning, Watched EPL countless times together etc. It’s sad that we might no
longer be room-mates in future, but it also means that the semester is over and
its holiday!! hmm, thinking back… Desmond told me something earlier that
morning. He said "Aiya, 3rd Year we rent a house n move out together lah. then we’ll become house-mates
loh!" Hehe, good idea, i’d love to do that too. since we enjoyed each
other’s company. But i don’t think i’ll move out since I don’t have transport. its
quite troublesome. I’ll keep my options open anyway so I won’t rule that out.

I’m a bit afraid that I might not get along as well as with
Desmond and Jason with my future room-mates but then again, its too early to
tell. I’ll leave that to the future. Morning has broken, time to tidy up my
place and start packing too! Hehe, but before that, let me just lie down on my
bed for awhile… Hmm, its been quite hell of a ride in USM. invaluable
experience indeed. this is my 1st blog, 1st blood!(as in Dota) wahaha…….
